Morningstar Dog Training is pleased to announce new intimate, evening group classes, held at The Dog Resort, 12195-1 Metro Parkway, Ft Myers.
All classes are five sessions, once a week for 5 weeks. Enrollment is a minimum of 3 dogs and a maximum of 6 dogs to ensure personal one-on-one attention for each participant.
Classes include essential skills that benefit all dogs and their owners including:
ON TARGET - Heeling without the Hassle
- "Power Steering" techniques to avoid leash pulling
- Automatic stop-and-sit
- Dog/handler eye contact
- Swing finish - finding the proper heel position
- Door exercises - calm, controlled entries and exits
at the front door
A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU - Meet 'n' Greet Manners
- Stop-and-sit when being approached
- Polite sitting - no jumping or shying away
- Stay until released
- Dog/handler eye contact
- Greeting techniques for both in the home and on the street.
COME AND GET IT - The Total Recall
- Motivational techniques for coming when called
- Automatic sit
- Dog/handler eye contact
- Preventing darting away
Clicker training is used. Don't worry, it's fun and easy to learn, and your dog will love you for it!
